Pass Plus
After successfully passing their test, students are encouraged by the DSA and other road safety organisations to take up a Pass Plus course which provides them with a minimum of six hours extra driving experience in a variety of situations with the aim of helping them become more aware on the road.
This includes some motorway driving, driving on country roads as well as other situations which they will encounter early in their driving lives.
This course is not subject to examination and is normally undertaken with their own driving instructor.
An added incentive is that the certificate can lead to substantial savings in car insurance for the holder.
